GoMendo! Mendocino County Launches New Website Design and Technology Featuring Wine, Waves and Wilderness
MENDOCINO, Calif. (July 30, 2007) ¬– Planning your trip to Mendocino County in Northern California just got easier with the re-launch of the site GoMendo.com, a new and improved site to learn all about this stunning and virtually undiscovered region.
GoMendo.com is a true collaboration between the many diverse groups that live and work in Mendocino County. Four groups in particular have come together to make it as easy as possible for everyone to Go Mendo: the Mendocino County Promotional Alliance (MCPA), the Mendocino County Lodging Association (MCLA), the Mendocino Wine and Winegrape Commission (MWWC) and the Arts Council of Mendocino County (ACMC).
“The new website integrates the best technology available with a very user-friendly interface,” says Sherri Dobay, principal of Dobay Design, the company selected to handle the site’s redesign. “We listened closely to visitors and created a site that incorporates the best tools, information and inspiring visuals.”
Some of the new features include: • An interactive itinerary system called My GoMendo that allows users to quickly and easily find, sort, select, and save their favorite items
• A new “Contact Us” feature that allows visitors to ask real people in Mendocino questions about travel, activities, lodging, food, wine and much more
• New interactive maps of the county and the region
• Plus a new Mendocino Media Center to help media professionals with information, photos, resources and more
The updated website also provides visitors with information on local events and attractions, outdoor recreation choices, suggested locations for a wedding, and even recommended driving tours.
“We want to help people explore the many things Mendocino County has to offer,” says Scott Schneider, Executive Director of the Mendocino County Lodging Association. “The new, improved GoMendo.com makes it easier for visitors to access everything from lodging options and wine tasting tours to art openings and the history of Mendocino itself.”
